So Research in Motion has just put out the "best Blackberry yet", and I for one am impressed. Regardless of hardware, software or platform, it is hard to keep RIM down. It was only earlier this summer I was writing an article on the delayed release of the Blackberry Bold 9900 due to hardware concerns. It just wasn't in the same league as either the new Android smart phones, or the apple Iphone.
In the ultra-competitive world of cell phone a few months of delay could have spelled disaster for any company. But instead of taking a dive, RIM took the stock hit in stride, pumped out the new line of phones, promoted them like nothing ever happened, and people eat it up. It is a testament to the brand loyalty and quality that RIM has established. They are the bench mark by which other phones are judged, and this latest release has proved that once again. We are not holding the Blackberry up to the new dualcore super phones, but rather, even with the later release date of the Blackberry, are holding the new super phones up to the Blackberry.
